BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is a 2.5D fighting game released for the arcades. A console version was released for the Xbox 360, the Playstation 3, and later, the Playstation Portable. It is considered to be a spiritual successor for the Guilty Gear series, also made by Arc System Works. It has been critically acclaimed for its battle system, graphics, music, and unique cast of characters.

A few months after its release, a sequel titled BlazBlue: Continuum Shift was developed for the arcades, the Xbox 360 and the PS3.
