Litchi (pronounced as "Lie-chi") Faye Ling is a well-known doctor of Orient Town, Kagutsuchi. Her healing skills and medicines are top-notch and always reliable. Everyone in Orient Town adores her and are even willing to protect her. However, her role as a doctor is only a cover for her secret mission. While treating others and teaching the Kaka clan children, she investigates the whereabouts of the mysterious creature, Arakune. Arakune is said to normally dwell near the town and occasionally eat the Kakas. He is interested in the "Azure", which is the only link between Litchi and the bounty of Ragna the Bloodedge.

Litchi's entire story is still very vague early on. She hardly likes to mention about her past, and there are very few details related to her sudden power and work in Sector Seven. Although she seems like an unimportant character, she interacts with much of the "main" cast members, and her actions influence their decisions later on.
