&heaven; the Site

the creation of heaven's not enough

I originally was planning to open the site during the summer of 2007, after coding the layout. But the release of Overture haulted the project for a few months. By the end of February 2008, I was at a pace to get the site going. Initially, it was planned to be hosted at Rurushu.net, now it is moved to a better URL at Sol-aria.org (yes, it does sound like a certain girl's name). On April 27, 2008, the site was opened finally. On September 26, 2010, almost two years after, the site moved to Iris Noire.

This is site is notably the biggest and most popular of my collective. I'm still a newbie when compared to other hard-core GG fans, but its something to put an input. I'm actually surprised a Ky site hasn't been done yet (Decent ones I mean... I've seen others tempt it, but they kinda died away).

On November 2008, this site won the Amassment Site of the Month (non-anime/manga) award.

behind the name

Heaven's Not Enough: Originally, this site was going to be called "Exodus", but as of April 24th 2008, the site was renamed for more originality. Plus, the title didn't really made sense when it came to Ky. The name is derived from the song under the same title, composed by Yoko Kanno and sung by Steve Conte. It was exclusively performed during the anime Wolf's Rain, although I actually never watched this anime myself. It's both haunting and slightly depressing, but nonetheless beautiful. I chosen this song, not just for the religious aspect, but I felt it implied a bit to our knight. His original and simple idea to die for a noble cause, for the sake of God and mankind, is somewhat suffering him because of the reality of his world. For the fact that he has to cause pain for that dream alone - it makes you wonder if it's really worth it or not.
