Ky can't be rewarded with respect without making a large impression on society. Being the main secondary character, Ky has earned love from his world and ours by representing the ideal man - in the words of the bible, love for God, love for his neighbors, and love for himself. He is always being involved with the main plot, because his character allows the progression of events.

Ky is notably a very good-willed man - almost pure. He yearns for the happiness of many, for that bliss is his own's. While a trait like that is rare to find in humans, it is nonetheless satisfying. His belief in justice, while idealistic, is a will to fairness to preserve that peace, and not and not for the selfish sake of revenge. Such benevolent desires make Ky represent the positive side of mankind. It is individuals like him that may have the power to change the future into a more harmonious one. Whatever it is, we can see in the Side Black that his existence is crucial even to That Man.

Of course, as we all know, Ky is mature and wise for his age. He enjoys reading and spending his leisure collecting tea cups. As girly as it might sound, it shows Ky's interest in fine craftsmanship and art with porcelain. He is aware of the history of mankind, so despite his naive belief on justice, he is secretly observant of mankind's flaws. Experience is what he truly lacks, not understanding.

Ky may be considered "old style", for his interests are more like a Christian Fundamentalist. Morals are certainly important toward everything. He is respectful, courteous, and chivalrous. He takes no second to help, and even hold back, against a woman. Most men would woo women, or even assault them, but Ky refuses to pull any wrong impressions on them. His lack of relations with women, consequently, makes fans question his sexuality. But he isn't foolish enough to let even a woman go if he feels something wrong with her.
