domain
Iris-Noire.org was registered during August 2009, and is proudly hosted by the lovely DreamHost, with all my other sites. I know most of my affiliates are pissed with all the domain changes, but I promise that this will be the domain to keep (...for a long while).
Iris Noire (known as Black Ellis in Japan) originated from the character of Rune Factory: Frontier. Yes, I said no more domains based on characters, but this is an exception because they are also very much words that I found... pretty, I guess? Most importantly, I happen to love the colors black and white; since Noire means black and Iris sometimes has white pigments (even the character wears a lot of white), it represents something I eternally love.
History
- Reveria.silentcross.net - My site idea bloomed with the fanlisting collective on May 2006. Okay, that's a lie, I made websites before in free hosting areas, but since all of them sucked, I won't bring that up. Besides, I forgot all the names. Anyway, I was kindly hosted by the very sweet Haia since at the time, I was too poor to own a domain.
- Rurushu.net - My first domain was bought on April 2007. Rurushu is the romanji form of Lelouch's name (from the series Code Geass). The reason for the sudden change was due to the fact that I was tired of my Japanese-sounding domain.
- On April 2008, I bought a new domain Sol-Aria.org, which currently is being worked on as a personal site, as well as a host for some sites including Heaven's Not Enough.
- RedAlice.org - This domain was registered on October 29 2008. Domain changed yet again because my layouts felt redundant - a blue layout for "Red"alice.org?
Hosting?
While DreamHost is a lovely host indeed, they offer me waaaay too much space for my account. Thus, I will consider hosting sites for friends and maybe even strangers. After all, I began my hobby thanks to the kind and generous hosting of others, so I wish to return the favor. Keep in mind, however, that I'll only do host sites if you have potential talent and are serious about keeping your site. If you are just going to abandon it, I have the right to remove it. Right now I'm still undecided, so I'll consider making a hosting page if I'm truly opening myself up to it. Email me if you want to persuade me, though!
